There is no modern hotel of any size in the town centre of Huddersfield, and only The HD One site with planning permission for up to 150 bedrooms truly provides the scope to serve both the business and weekend recreational and sporting markets.

The Stadium alone generates over half a million visits per annum, hosting year round sporting, conferencing and leisure activity. The HD One will encompass a wide range of further attractions building on this existing traffic, and the potential is for The HD One to generate over 4m visits per annum. 

The chosen hotel position offers a superb riverside setting close to a site main entrance and extensive parking, coupled with the serene backdrop of Kilner Bank. The hotel is close to the excitement and activity of the main development, yet is prominent with excellent potential for brand signage.

With nearly 250 feet of river frontage to the Colne, the site is elevated and offers distant views. A short taxi ride or even a stroll from the town centre and Huddersfield’s historic railway station, The HD One hotel will also be served by the public transport provision associated with the leisure development.

The planning permission for The HD One envisages a hotel of up to 150 bedrooms across four floors, with parking for over 500 cars immediately adjoining. The hotel development opportunity will be available from the start of The HD One project, and the access road and services to the hotel site will be in the first construction phase.
